Sarah Jhetam OP1 in 2015

Sarah Jhetam

As you approached your final two years at St Luke’s, what was the plan?

"In year 10 I wasn't too sure what I wanted to do. My parents hold careers in psychiatry and psychology, which sparked an interest in medicine. My subject choices were mostly informed by the idea that I want to have the option of being a doctor."

What was your OP score, and what university offers did you receive?

"I received and OP 1, then an offer for UQ law, as well as other interstate offers for law and international studies."

Which offer did you choose?

"I'm currently in my first year of Law/International Studies and German at UQ."

How’s University life?

"My university experience so far has been great, in large part due to attending Cromwell College, which has been the best semester of my life so far. If any year 11 students are interested, I encourage them to attend the Cromwell Open Day later this year."

What was your St Luke’s experience like?

"I was enrolled in St Luke's since year 3 and really loved my experience. Those 9 years have brought me so many great memories. I'd love to mention the teachers that really sparked my love of learning and set me on the path to where I am today: Mr Cathcart, Mrs Hill, Herr Preuss and Mrs Goodchap."
