Bring Your Own Device for Middle and Senior School

Bring Your Own Device applies to students enrolled in Year 7 to 12. It is a school requirement with which students are required to come to school each day with their own laptop computer to assist their St Luke's learning.

St Luke's recommendation for BYO devices is that they must be capable of running the full desktop version of Google Chrome. Recommended devices, in order of preference, are:

  • Google Chromebook
  • MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or MacBook
  • Windows 10 Laptop

Note: Required BYO devices are required only for general schoolwork and study. For any student attending specialist technology subjects which might include 3D modelling, gaming engines, coding, design, or multi-media elements, specialised computers and software are available for use in the St Luke's Technology Labs.

Recommended supplier of Google Chromebook include Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Samsung, HP, Lenovo, or Dell, while MacBooks and Windows 10 Laptops can be purchased through most reputable suppliers of technology.
