Our P&F Committee will open the secondhand uniform shop on Monday 21 and Friday 25 January between 8.00am -9.00am. No appointment is necessary.
The second-hand uniform shop is located next to the main school uniform shop and provides a comprehensive range of quality second hand formal and sport uniforms for all age groups. Prices are very reasonable.
The receipted cash-only shop is staffed by volunteers. All proceeds go to the P&F and therefore back to St Luke’s Anglican School students. Any uniform can be donated to the second-hand uniform shop during opening hours or left at the front office for collection by the P&F.
St Luke’s Anglican School has a BYOT (Bring Your Own Technology) program in which students from Year 7 and up are required to bring their devices from home to access the wireless network throughout the campus to assist in their learning.
There are numerous examples of devices being used to enhanced and streamline how students undertake their work and seamlessly transition from the classroom to outdoor areas and home.
Many of the textbooks the students use are available digitally, limiting the necessity to carry lots of heavy textbooks. Additionally the School’s extensive use of G Suite for Education and Canvas make it necessary for students to bring a device to school each day.
The device that students bring must be capable of running a fully featured version of Google Chrome with a keyboard. Examples of these are:-
- Google Chromebook (recommended) available from Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Samsung, HP, Lenovo and Dell
- MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or MacBook
- Windows 7-10 laptop
Limitations exist within the Google Apps for Education environment on devices such as iPads, iPods, Androids (Samsung etc) and Windows RT based tablets. So while the School understands the value that these devices can add to educational outcomes, we regard them as secondary devices. Students may bring these devices if they wish, and they will be supported by our ICT team, but it is important that students have a fully functional device such as those listed above.

St Luke's Anglican School is committed to the State Government's initiative Smart Choices Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Queensland Schools, which was launched in 2005 to raise the awareness of healthy nutrition choices for school students. We have made some exciting new changes to the Tuckshop Menu Board for 2019, catering for a number of nutritional requirements, such as; gluten free, lactose free and vegetarian options. We also now offer EFTPOS at the Tuckshop for your convenience!
Save yourself the hassle of looking for and sending your children to school with cash. No more looking for tiny coins in the morning. Download the Flexischools App or visit the Flexischools website to register and/or to place your orders daily.
Interested in helping out?
We would like to welcome parents and friends of the school to assist with Tuckshop duties. No experience is required, as our friendly staff are more than happy to orientate you. Volunteers may assist on a weekly, monthly or per term basis. Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents and strengthen the school community spirit. If you are interested, please contact the school office on 07 4132 7555 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
